I wanted to share with you an OUTSTANDING activity if you are ever going to the Palm Springs area – Desert Adventures. I have been doing meetings in Palm Springs for more than 25 years and never even considered this. I always thought it would be boring and hot to drive around in a jeep through the desert. What could be fun about that?
WOW, was I ever wrong! I went on a four hour tour to the San Andreas Fault. I learned so much about plants, desert animals, the eco system, the oasis, earthquakes and faults, native Americans, early settlers, the railroad, where many of our medicines come from, how to live off the land, and on and on! It was anything but hot and boring, it was totally fascinating and four hours flew by.
Our guide took us to the Native American Village and their old western town they have set up for private parties of 20 -1,000. What a GREAT idea and fun activity. You can have a group in the most luxurious hotel with all the amenities, yet bus them 15 minutes away for a total desert, education and FUN experience that is so different from what they would ever expect.
Anyway, I cannot say enough about this company, their guides, their knowledge, village and FUN they put into every one of their events. I would heartily recommend them if you are ever going to be in the desert.
