I wanted to let you know that I am still hearing from people in our group what a fabulous time they had. By Wednesday evening (the following night), I had other people in our organization approaching me asking about our time with you and that they had heard all about what we did. I can’t thank you and everyone involved enough for the excellent customer service we received and the fun that took place that day and evening. The downside….I only wish we could have stayed longer. Aaron – the best tour guide ever and leader for our team building initiatives. Everyone spoke highly of him – what a great guy! Khail – instrumental in the party planning – the food was perfect, the country western singer was a HIT and the bartenders and servers were excellent. Everyone spoke highly of her! Mitch – loved the cow roping!! And people raved about his stories about the stars and constellations. There were other gentlemen that other people got to meet around the campfire, can’t remember names, but know that our group thought everyone was just so nice to be around. The gold mining, the shooting, the dancing and we even got to throw our boss in jail. Again, everything was perfect! We at The Ken Blanchard Companies are all about customer service and going above and beyond customer’s expectations. This is a very late but genuine thank you for your team's excellent work in conjunction with our tours at the NRECA CEO Conference a few weeks ago. Your willingness to expand and contract the offerings to meet our group's very specific needs is greatly appreciated. Khail was terrific with logistics, and I heard many raves about the knowledge and friendliness of your guides. Of course, Tom was a big hit with the "ladies who lunch" on Monday, and his extensive research about wind generation certainly paid off during the Tuesday tour. Aloha Mary, I know you’ve heard this from me so many times before and you’re gonna hear it again:  your team did a phenomenal job with the final night of our FAM. CUDOS ! CUDOS ! CUDOS ! The clients couldn’t get enough of the evening jeep rides.  Many of them went out more than once.  And the night sky was spectacular - she was shining and sparkling in all her glory.  As the people got off the jeeps, they kept commenting on how informative the jeep drivers were, and how they learned so much in such a short amount of time.  So, a huge ‘Thank You’ to Tom, Darrell and Mike for doing what they do so very well. One client said to me as she was running to the telescope, “I don’t want to leave – it feels like kids camp!” I overheard another client wanting to bring her son back and have his birthday party there. I took a few of the clients to VillageFest Thursday night and one of them bought a candle holder that had a comet etched into the holder.  She bought it so it would remind her of the comet that Mitch showed her through the telescope. And, also at VillageFest, one of my clients saw a booth that was selling coffee beans and went up and asked the vendor if he had any Bile Beans.  We all laughed so hard we couldn’t breathe !!!!!!!!!  I think Professor Turnbull will live in their memories forever (thanks Mitch ! ) But the evening wouldn’t have been a success without Khail and everyone else behind the scenes making sure the evening went off without a hitch.  The food, the service, the fun  -  a menu for success. We are just back to Calgary tonight.  It is very cold here already, and we are missing the desert! We had an awesome time working with Aaron on our team building exercises.  He was an amazing facilitator, able to get our minds on the challenge we were facing, and then discreetly stepping back and allowing us the freedom to figure out how we were going to conquer it.  He was also a wonderful help by taking many great pictures for us.  All the girls enjoyed our experience in the desert, and we would love to have another one.  We will, of course, be passing your information along to many of our colleagues who travel to the desert for their own retreat experiences.  I think you have some wonderful programs that could be enjoyed by many people we know.  We will be in touch in the future to experience one of your other programs. I just wanted to write and extend our gratitude for a great outing on Saturday. ALL of our customers had an amazing time and really enjoyed the tour guides insight to the land and area itself. What a treat it was to have such a customized tour for all 10 of us.  Our group was so anxious to find out more about what you do and then - how in the world did you do it?!   You absolutely sent us the 2 best guides in Ken and Morgan.  Jack and I have been on many tours with Desert Adventures and each time we find the tour exhilarating.  The first thing anybody noticed was that these guides were a vast fountain of information and fascinated us with statistics and knowledge about the Valley, the desert, the economics, the San Andreas Fault, earthquakes, CA falling off into the Pacific Ocean (not),  the crops, the plants and some of their uses, the Indians and the original Railroad, etc. etc. etc.  We were all grateful that Morgan didn't mean it when she said there would be a test at the end of the tour, though I did remember the one time she asked how a plant got planted in a small crevice in a rock and I remembered - poop!  We walked around the seeping water at the Fault line, we climbed up a crevice and down again (surprised that all of us between 60 and 75 could make it), we panned for gold, walked through the mining tunnel, visited the Indian village, drove up box canyons, drank the nice cold water offered, learned more in the EpiCenter, learned about the 3 brothers who leased you the land, how careful you are to take care of the area, and how you have managed to keep the tours both interesting and very informative.  Each and every one of us picked up some seeds to try to grow our own Washingtonian palm which is the only native to that area.  If the lady in New York can grow one in an apartment, we should be able to accomplish something. Many tours back Jack and I remember being so amazed at what makes the Desert more than just a pile of sand and cactus, but each and every one of the other members of our group had the same astonishment with what goes on in the Desert, whether irrigated or water seeping through the Fault.  Your tours show us the real desert and it's history.  Mary, the grand tour you arranged for us was perfect to encourage everyone to come back to take the tours where the guides can go into more detail about each different area, and come back again and again to see the other areas.  My mind can only absorb the general information but Jack loves to get all the details and most times he even remembers.  The overall Eco Tour you set up for us was the best.  Kay and Jack McGary - Seattle , WA

The Surprise party for Terry Barker was a huge success!  She is a hard person to surprise or impress but we managed both - to everyone's amazement! Last Friday my aunt and uncle, Lynne & Frank, and I went on the Joshua Tree adventure with Jerry behind the wheel of our little red jeep... we had a FABULOUS time. We are going to book the San Andreas Fault tour in the fall. Lynne and Frank had so much fun now their neighbors want to go...Lynne and Frank said they would do it again with them. Jerry is the best and we will be asking for him. I have been meaning to get in touch with you this week, sorry that it took me so long. I must say that the Jeep tour and the hike with Aaron remain as the highlights of our trip to California. The kids all commented about how much they learned and how much fun they had. I had them write journal entries about the people that most impressed them on the trip and both Aaron and Jerry were discussed in most students journals. They still talk about the experience. The tour was awesome. Mitch is an excellent guide and had the kids attention too (which is saying bunches when you have teens). We took Donna's three boys (18, 17 and 13) with us. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the adventure when we got together again for dinner. Mitch showed us the mining town...very cool. And had us booked for two more tours the 'hike of death' and the 'night time' tour by the time we got back to the hotel. My daughter (16) was scared to death about the 'earthquake tour' but afterwards said she'd do it again in a minute! I'm not so sure she will join us for the night tour...she's a chicken! Our group, the Stadium Managers Association held an evening party last February out in the desert [with Mary's company]. We had a GREAT time, and got excellent reviews back from our guests. The weather was perfect - got a little chilly at night so we suggested they bring a jacket. The jeep rides were awesome and everything came together so well. The staff was phenomenal - they were always there when we needed something. We had one guest who was having chest pains and we almost needed to take him out, but staff was right there to get him to the nearest hospital if necessary. So, if there were any concerns about being out somewhere, it really is not an issue. I would HIGHLY recommend their services and this activity. The band (duo)

I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much our group enjoyed our "Desert Adventure" last month. The event was extremely well planned, flawlessly executed and all in all, a tremendous hit with our staff. Words can not express how wonderful the jeep tours were yesterday.  Your guides were awesome.  They were so informative and yet fun loving that the kids forgot they were learning...  It fits in perfectly with the California Science and History Education Standards.  My students had an opportunity to see what they have learned about.
